It's the little things

Over the last few weeks, we have spent quite a lot of time at home. I know this sounds silly but often our calendar can be so full that it feels we've barely been at home at all. Be it coincidence as well as a little but of purposful planning, the kids and I have enjoyed many lazy days together. These days consist of staying in our pajamas until lunch time (or later), playing in the garden (wet or dry), snacking and simply being together.

I don't always do this very well. I find myself always thinking about my ever increasing to do list, the dishes, how unclean my floor is and anything else fighting for my attention. However in the spirit of slowing down and being present in the moment, these last couple of weeks have been filled with more than several of these lazy days. And I don't feel the least bit guilty!

On top of the slide... on top of the world!

These curls...Get me everytime. If only my hair looked this good unbrushed!

Oliver, off to show the chickens his digger.

The apples are almost ready for picking!

 Stop and smell the roses.
