Autumn leaves and a Baby Bump

Ah Autumn... sunshine, falling leaves, gorgeous weather. This is why I love Autumn. I have wanted for a long time to photograph Autumn leaves in the orange afternoon sunlight and a few weeks ago, I was given this opportunity. Matt, Erin and their son Isaac asked me to take some photos of their family almost exactly 1 year ago and they had now asked me to capture them as a family of three, just before Isaac's baby sister makes her debut into the world.

We picked a date and crossed our fingers for sunshine and boy did the weather deliver. It was a gorgeous day and the trees were glowing just as we hoped they would. We played in the leaves for ages and Isaac had great fun throwing leaves and running around.

We were also able to take a few moments to capture Erin in all her glowing pregnancy beauty. Pregnancy really does suit her, don't you think?

I wish you the best of luck for the birth of your little girl. Thank you for allowing me to capture this special time for you guys.

Welcome to the World Baby Maya

I was privileged enough to be asked to photograph some very good friends of mine, Scott, Ruth and their beautiful baby girl Maya, who is a tiny bundle of new-born-baby-smell goodness. At the time, Maya was 4 weeks and teeny tiny. They don't stay this tiny for long and I find it hard even now to remember what it was like to hold Ollie and Gracie when they were this tiny.

We ventured into the bushes and paperbark trees and found a nice warm spot nestled in the late afternoon sun. Poor Maya was a bit unsettled but after some milk and cuddles from Mum and Dad we managed to settle her and get some gorgeous shots of this precious little girl with her Mummy and Daddy.

Thank you Scott, Ruth and Maya for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful family. I can't wait to watch Your little princess grow and learn and discover.
